Pirates of the Caribbean 4 Director?
With the director of the first three Pirates of the Caribbean movies off doing new projects, Disney has to go out and find a new director to take over the movie franchise. I’m sure Disney has talked to many, many directors to see who would be most suited to take over the franchise. Their decision? Right now it’s looking to be Rob Marshall, the director of Chicago and Memoirs of a Geisha. The only two movies he’s done although he does have a third movie in post-production right now.
Personally I liked Chicago (minus RenĂ©e Zellweger) and Memoirs of a Geisha was probably a bit too long, but worth at least one watch. I’m not sure how I’d feel about Marshall taking over PotC. If he doesn’t stray too far from the foundation it’s set on, it could be an excellent film. It will have Johnny Depp returning as Captain Jack Sparrow which means one thing will be the same still.
Regarding Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightly, they’re pretty much confirmed to not be associated with Pirates of the Caribbean 4.
