3DS Thoughts On The Way; Let’s Talk Arthur

I know I said I’d have 3DS thoughts and impressions written. They’re on their way. I’ve had the system for about two weeks now and I think that’s fair enough time to get to know the system, figure out it’s pros and cons, and get impressions from others I’ve shown the system to. Hopefully I’ll have them up Saturday but we’ll see. Oh and yes, I caved and bought Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition as well as Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars, so I’ll give brief impressions of those are well.

On the other hand, I went and saw Arthur last night at midnight. My friend and I love Russel Brand so we were super excited to see it. Could we have waited til tonight or something? Sure, but where’s the fun in that?

Arthur is actually a remake of the 1981 rom-com film starring Dudley Moore and Liza Minnelli. I haven’t had a chance to see the 1981 film yet, but my friend tells me that this new Arthur, starring Russel Brand is actually a mix of the two 80’s films. They took elements from both and put them into one movie, which is okay by me. I enjoyed the movie very much and Russel Brand is hilarious as always. It’s a bit more tame, humor wise, than other movies Russel’s done. Namely, Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him to the Greek, which is why I think if you’re not a fan of Russel Brands style of humor, you may actually enjoy this movie.

That’s it for now. I’m actually going to go read a book now briefly before Smackdown! comes on in a half hour so I’ll leave it at that.

One last thing, I think I’m going to try and end each post with a random quote of wisdom. It’s actually something I’ve been meaning to do for a while but I just kept forgetting. I know, I’m awful.
