Season Finale of Bones Is Rage Worthy!!

And if you didn’t get it yet:

SPOILER WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Season 5 of Bones has come to an end (and they already promised season six would start in the fall), and you know what?! IT MAKES ME WANNA RAGE! But you probably got that from the title you smart lil’ reader you.

First of all, okay, since Season 2 it’s been blatantly obvious that Booth and Brennan are in love with each other! Everyone else can see it but they’re astoundingly blind to it. Well, I think Booth knows it but he won’t pursue it because he knows how Brennan is. I think Brennan is slowly starting to realize it. If she didn’t know it before I think the fact that in this episode she says something about constantly worrying that Booth will get hurt and she couldn’t prevent it would open her eyes. That’s a red flag if I ever saw one! Which I have… many many times.

Alright moving on because I would probably rant about that all day, the episode was great, even if it makes me wanna slice a Zombies head off and then stomp on it a million times.

Let’s try to make this quick. List of why this episode is anger inducing:

Brennan is leaving for a year to go to some Islands (as Booth calls them, the Makapoopoo Islands).
Booth is going to Afghanistan to train US Army Soldiers for a year.
As much as I wanna kill Daisy sometimes, she’s going with Brennan so her and Sweets break up. Least I’m pretty sure they did…
Hodgins decides that him and Angela are going on a trip for a year because they don’t wanna break in a new FBI Agent and Anthropologist.
Where does that leave Cam? AT THE JEFFERSONIAN BY HERSELF! Seriously people. You can’t just leave Cam by herself!!
Why must the team break up?! Whyyyyyyy?! čśŽ

Grrr. That’s not even the worst part. At the end, when Booth and Brennan say their good-byes and promise to meet again in one year and pick up their partnership, they walk away, and they both turn and look back at each other then leave. LIKE COME ON! THAT WAS THE PERFECT TIME FOR THEM TO KISS! They should have! Booth should have run back and kissed her like there was no tomorrow! Which he’s going to Afghanistan so for him it very well could have been his last time seeing her!

Aside from all that the episode was fairly funny like always. While Hodgins is trying to steal a car back for Angela’s father, he falls off the high wall he’s on. Commence this convo:

Sweets: What happened?
Hodgins: Gravity

I laughed so hard at that bit.

Alright, I’m going to wrap this up now. All I can really say is September can’t come fast enough. I need season six right now and to know what happens! If Booth and Brennan don’t get together in season six and get married and make cute babies I’ll probably rage even harder than this.

It’s late. New update.

December 1, 2009 was my last update. Jeez!! What have I been doing all this time?! Honestly, I don’t know. Moving on!

Current time: 4:50AM

Yeah, it’s late, or early. Whichever you prefer.

I don’t really have much to say now, I just wanna make an update. I’ll have to make a newer update, one with substance, like that one about the dream, sometime soon. Which if you haven’t read it you should. Go now. Actually, here’s the link. You really have no excuse not to go read it now.

So actually… I’ll just leave it at that for now. Go read that post and then you can go about your day.

Oh and Season Finale of Bones tonight at 8 on Fox. Watch it. Even if you missed all of seasons 1-4 and the other 22 or so episodes of season 5. And if you have Netflix, you BEST go watch season 1-4 of Bones on it right nao. Go go go.

Favourite TV shows?

I’m sitting here a bit bored and I just finished watching two episodes of “The Sarah Jane Adventures” because The Doctor from Doctor Who was in them and now I’m kinda interested in the series haha. So, it got me thinking, what are some shows people like. Leave a comment or write on my Facebook wall (if you’re a friend).
I’ll list some:

Psych – Currently taking a break until January, the show is currently in it’s fourth season and still as funny as ever. It’s about the son of a retired cop who when younger developed his skills with his photographic memory (thanks to his dad making him). Grown up he passes as a “Psychic” and solves cases for the police department with his best mate, Gus. Airs Fridays on USA.

Entourage – The sixth season ended way back in August for this show with hopefully the seventh underway. Airing in the summertime on HBO on Sundays this show is about Queens born actor Vincent Chase (character name), his friends E (short for Eric) and Turtle (who’s real name is only said once from memory) and his brother Johnny (aka Johnny Drama or just Drama). Based around Hollywood drama that can happen when you’re living that kind of life it’s quite interesting and I love it.

Doctor Who – British show dating back to the 60’s. In 2005 it saw a revival and has been going strong ever since. Probably one of my favouritest shows ever, it’s about a Time Lord named “The Doctor”. The what? The Doctor? Doctor what? No, just The Doctor, and his spaceship The TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space) which took the shape of an old Police phone Box and has been stuck that way ever since. In 2006, just after 1 year of being back on, The actor who played The Doctor decided to leave and from 2006-2010 we’ve had David Tennant as The Doctor. Sadly, this is coming to an end and in 2010 we’ll be introduced to a new Doctor. The 11th Doctor to date. With three specials still coming up (that will end David Tennants run as The Doctor) if you haven’t seen this show yet catch one of those and see what the show is about. I find it hard to explain and think you should just watch it for yourself. I find the Doctor to be a great character and the way David Tennant portrays him is amazing. Hard to explain though, as I said.

Specials are as follows (On BBCAmerica):
December 19th – “The Waters of Mars”
December 26th – “The End of Time, Part One”
Sometime in 2010 – “The End of Time, Part Two”

That’s about all I’ll list right now. Other shows I do watch though are “Glee” on Fox and reruns of “Las Vegas” on TNT. “Cold Case”, “Without a Trace” and other such shows.

Thanks For Your Time

I was browsing The Speed Gamers forums when I came across a topic with the story below in it. Posted by user: nmufred

I really liked it and so I want to share it now. Normally this is sent in an email to your friends:

A young man learns what’s most important in life from the guy next door.

It had been some time since Jack had seen the old man College, girls, career, and life itself got in the way. In fact, Jack moved clear across the country in pursuit of his dreams. There, in the rush of his busy life, Jack had little time to think about the past and often no time to spend with his wife and son. He was working on his future, and nothing could stop him.

Over the phone, his mother told him, “Mr. Belser died last night. The funeral is Wednesday.” Memories flashed through his mind like an old newsreel as he sat quietly remembering his childhood days.

“Jack, did you hear me?”

“Oh, sorry, Mom. Yes, I heard you. It’s been S O long since I thought of him. I’m sorry, but I honestly thought he died years ago,” Jack said.

“Well, he didn’t forget you. Every time I saw him he’d ask how you were doing. He’d reminisce about the many days you spent over ‘his side of the fence’ as he put it,” Mom told him.

“I loved that old house he lived in,” Jack said.

“You know, Jack, after your father died, Mr. Belser stepped in to make sure you had a man’s influence in your life,” she said.

“He’s the one who taught me carpentry,” he said. “I wouldn’t be in this business if it weren’t for him. He spent a lot of time teaching me things he thought were important…Mom, I’ll be there for the funeral,” Jack said.

As busy as he was, he kept his word. Jack caught the next flight to his hometown. Mr. Belser’s funeral was small and uneventful. He had no children of his own, and most of his relatives had passed away.

The night before he had to return home, Jack and his Mom stopped by to see the old house next door one more time .

Standing in the doorway, Jack paused for a moment. It was like crossing over into another dimension, a leap through space and time. The house was exactly as he remembered. Every step held memories. Every picture, every piece of furniture….Jack stopped suddenly.

“What’s wrong, Jack?” his Mom asked.

“The box is gone,” he said

“What box?” Mom asked.

“There was a small gold box that he kept locked on top of his desk. I must have asked him a thousand times what was inside. All he’d ever tell me was ‘the thing I value most,’ Jack said.

It was gone. Everything about the house was exactly how Jack remembered it, except for the box. He figured someone from the Belser family had taken it.

“Now I’ll never know what was so valuable to him,” Jack said. “I better get some sleep. I have an early flight home, Mom.”

It had been about two weeks since Mr. Belser died. Returning home from work one day Jack discovered a note in his mailbox. “Signature required on a package. No one at home. Please stop by the main post office within the next three days,” the note read.

Early the next day Jack retrieved the package. The small box was old and looked like it had been mailed a hundred years ago. The handwriting was difficult to read, but the return address caught his attention. “Mr. Harold Belser” it read.

Jack took the box out to his car and ripped open the package. There inside was the gold box and an envelope.

Jack’s hands shook as he read the note inside. “Upon my death, please forward this box and its contents to Jack Bennett. It’s the thing I valued most in my life.” A small key was taped to the letter.. His heart racing, as tears filling his eyes, Jack carefully unlocked the box. There inside he found a beautiful gold pocket watch.

Running his fingers slowly over the finely etched casing, he unlatched the cover.

Inside he found these words engraved:

“Jack, Thanks for your time! -Harold Belser..”

“The thing he valued most was….my time”

Jack held the watch for a few minutes, then called his office and cleared his appointments for the next two days.

“Why?” Janet, his assistant asked.

“I need some time to spend with my son,” he said.

“Oh, by the way, Janet, thanks for your time!”

“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away.”

Think about this. You may not realize it, but it’s 100% true..

1. At least 2 people in this world love you so much they would die for you.

2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.

3. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don’t like you.

4. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.

5. You mean the world to someone.

6. If not for you, someone may not be living.

7. You are special and unique.

8. When you think you have no chance of getting what you want, you probably won’t get it, but if you trust God to do what’s best, and wait on His time, sooner or later, you will get it or something better.

9. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good can still come from it.

10. When you think the world has turned its back on you, take a look: you most likely turned your back on the world.

11. Someone that you don’t even know exists loves you..

12. Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks.

13 . Always tell someone how you feel about them; you will feel much better when they know and you’ll both be happy .

14. If you have a great friend, take the time to let them know that they are great.

Send this letter to all the people you care about; if you do so, you will certainly brighten someone’s day and might change their perspective on life…for the better.

To everyone I sent this to,
“Thanks for your time.”

Last night I went to bed at 11:30. This is fairly early for me as usually I have a hard time sleeping and can’t sleep until 2 to 3am. I fell asleep to a Christmas movie. I forget the title, but it was like about Rudolph’s brother or something. I don’t know, but anyways, I’m sleeping and my dream is fine. Nice and normal. So, in the dream I’m heading home. I finally get to my house and I walk in. I grab my DS to continue my Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days game and watch some Psych.

Next thing I know I’m in some other house, and it’s dark. A friend is there, and two strangers. I search a couple rooms with my friend and we notice a room full of guns and ammunition. We’re like, “Uhh, what’s up with this?” We try the lights but they’re out and the only flashlights are attached to the weapons. We grab a bunch and bring them to the other two people. We’re all talking and wondering what’s going on, when I look out the partially boarded up window and notice something. I get closer to the window, heart racing. I get a better look and my eyes widen ( Like O_O ) and I yell, “SPITTER!” and jump to the side as an acid-y spit is shot through the window, burning through the boards like they were nothing.

We all pull up our guns but my friend fires the first two shots from her auto-shotgun and blows the Spitters head off. We have no idea what’s going on but we all decide it’s best to keep prepared. We split up into teams of two, my friend and I and the two strangers. We’d report back to the room we arrived in for a meeting in 30 minutes.

As we go off, we decide to check upstairs, her carrying her auto-shotgun and I carrying my assault rifle. We’re discussing what could be going on and we both think we’re somehow dreaming. Spitters aren’t real, they’re going to be a new enemy type in the game Left 4 Dead 2. But we both couldn’t be having the same dream, and what about the other two. Both being Left 4 Dead players we know we have to survive, no matter whats going on, how we got there or anything. Just survive.

We check a couple rooms upstairs and nothing is out of the ordinary though it’s a pretty run down building. Someone must have tried to stay alive in there at some point, that would be reason for boarded up windows and the plethora of weapons.

We enter a big room, bigger than any we’ve seen yet. It’s full of books and maps and big fancy furniture. Then we hear a gurgling noise, one that sounds oh so familiar and we both immediately recognize it as a Boomer gurgle. We pan the area and don’t see anything. We take a couple steps back. My friend crouches down and looks through the keyhole of the room we’re in and sees the not-so-lovely Boomer on the other side waddling down the hallway. She flings open the door, blasts the boomer, and quickly closes the door again.

More searching of the room, being as quiet as possible but after a short time we start to hear scratching all around us. Scratching at the door and at the windows. We know what’s a coming: a horde.

We block the door with furniture and start to block some windows with whats remaining. It won’t stop them, but it’ll slow them down enough. The horde begins to break some of the boards on the walls and begin flooding into the room and we open fire on them taking them down in a relatively easy manner.

At the same time we hear coughing and a loud a screech, a smoker and a hunter. I notice the smoker just outside one of the windows, in another building, I crouch down and fire a burst of shots as it fires its slimy tongue and it explodes. I look over and see the hunter about to pounce on my friend but more infected are coming, so I yell to her and just as he pounces she head-shots him (if this were in game she’d get an achievement for it).

We’re now being overwhelmed by the horde, and another Smoker, Hunter and Boomer have arrived. We decide to use my friends favourite tactic… we hide in the closet. We’re just taking infected out one after another, more Special Infected show up and then it happens… we hear the roars of a Tank. We know this can’t be good, we’re just gonna have to hope we can take it down before it reaches the closet.

We see it approaching, it entered through a now open wall (thanks Tank, we were thinking of remodeling), and we’re pummeling it with bullets. It’s no good though, it makes its way over to the closet… we’re trying to kill it, even aiming for the head. It raises it’s big over-sized arms above it’s head, this it, we’re done for. We close our eyes still firing and on the Tanks downswing I wake up…

Now, I said I fell asleep around 11:30, so I look at the clock, thinking “oh, it’s probably morning.” Wrong, it’s only 2:30 in the morning. But guess who can’t fall back asleep because the dream, while it doesn’t seem scary in writing or when doing all this in the video game, scared the heck out of him?

Well, I just lost everything I wrote about Zombieland because my page backed up and I know there’s suppose to be an draft auto-saver or something but I don’t think it did anything to save it.

Anyways, in short, Zombieland was one of the funniest movies I’ve seen all year. It has a strong cast of characters who just seem to work off each other really well. It’s full of hilarious moments and even has a surprise guest actor (to keep the surprise do not go to IMDB. It makes it even better).

Run down of characters include Columbus, the nerdy virgin kid who is afraid of almost everything, especially clowns (he narrates the movie at times too). Tallahassee, the BA of the group. He has a “twisted” sense of humor when it comes to killing zombies but he loves killing zombies. Wichita, Elder sister to Little Rock and great at conning people. Love interest to Columbus. Little rock, Wichita’s 12 year old sister, con accomplice. Also stupid as anything as she doesn’t know who even “Gandhi” is. But of course she knows Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus.

The story for the most part is semi-lighthearted, throwing a bunch of hilarious parts and one liners after another. But there are some serious moments and we get to see brief flashbacks of each characters (of the main four) pasts before the outbreak.

I’m going to leave it at that, I really enjoyed the movie and I would love to see it again. It’ll definitely be one I add to my DVD collection. If I had to give it a star rating out of 5, I’d say 4/5 stars personally. I can see many zombie fans and video game fans enjoying this movie.

Oh, and stay for after the credits, there’s a lil somethin’ extra.

Johnny Depp Now Debating PotC4

Johnny Depp seems to have lost most of his passion for the new Pirates of the Caribbean project (now named Potc: On Stranger Tides).

I’ve got to jolt right now, so I’ll link you to the article about it. It’s quite an interesting turn of events.

The Final Destination

Friday evening I had the pleasure (in a way) to go see The Final Destination and Rob Zombie’s Halloween II. I’ll share my thoughts now on one of the movies. Let us start with The Final Destination.

Firstly, I did not see the movie in 3D. I wanted to but couldn’t, so I cannot comment on the 3D of the movie. Now, if you’ve seen another other Final Destination in the series you know what you’re in for. Main character A is doing an activity with Main character B and their less important character friends. Main character A has a premonition about how them, their friends and some other minor characters they don’t know (or in 1 and 3’s regard, they vaguely know from school) are going to die. And then they snap back to reality, and save some of the people because they freak out over the premonition and get out of deaths way. Which ends up making death mad and then death manipulates the persons surrounding to come back and still kill them. Main character A figures it out, tells Main Character B and they try to stop deaths plan so they can live, which they fail at.

The formula for the movie hasn’t changed at all. The only thing that has changed is how people die, which while unique and quite gory, are only like small road bumps in the story we’ve seen four times now. I like the Final Destination series, I really do, I just wish the formula was changed up a bit, that the story was a bit more interesting than what we’ve seen before. Add more depth to the story somehow. The only new thing I really saw in the movie is that Main Character A has a second full blown premonition. Which was kinda cool, I do admit. I don’t recall any of the other movies having a second fleshed out premonition.

The characters were boring and to be honest I don’t think I remember a single characters name. Well, Main Character A’s name is Nick… I think. All I remember them by is how they acted. Main Character A, his girlfriend Main Character B. Their friends, “stuck up prissy girl” and the guy friend “preppy tool”. “Racist guy”, “Cowboy”, “Black guy”, “Tampon mom” and “Custom car guy”. Some good names right?

I think the coolest part of the entire movie was the opening credits. It was a cool montage of a lot of the previous movies deaths using skeletons, and it showed how the deaths affected the body when they happened. What bones broke and how far in objects may have gone. This effect was used once more in the movie, and it was one of the cooler effects, though I think they only did it cause showing the actual death would have been way to gory.

I know I already went on about how they didn’t change the formula, but I think the biggest disappointment to me was the ending. When I hear the movie referred to as “The Final Destination” I think it’s the end or the last in the series. Now, I don’t know if there will be more Final Destination movies. If there are, I seriously hope they make some changes to the formula or I may not even bother seeing it. My problem is, if this is the last in the series, then the ending is a total let down. If this is the last movie, I wish this group of people really did stop deaths plan and that someone was able to change their future. But it doesn’t, everyone who was suppose to die in the beginning ends up dying in the movie and while it’s probably expected by everyone, I wish it didn’t end that way. Especially if this is the last of the series.

I guess that’s it. Overall I’d say I’m kinda disappointed with it, but I did enjoy seeing the deaths. I just think the story has become stale and they need to shake it up a bit somehow. When determining which one is your favourite movie in the series I guess it comes down to which one has the deaths you like the best.

Miley Cyrus ‘Pole Dancing’

Sometime earlier in the week saw the broadcast of the 2009 Teen Choice Awards where such stars as Zac Efron, Robert Pattinson, and Megan Fox won awards that teens voted for. There were also a bunch of musical acts from such artists as The Black Eyed Peas and Sean Kingston. One such musical act though is sparking controversy and I’m here to inject my own opinion on it.

As the title should have spoiled already, I am talking about Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the U.S.A.” musical number. I did not see it on the television the night it aired, I did however see some video uploads and the same picture from it over and over again. It’s everywhere. I will describe what happens and why people are making such a fuss over it.

The song opens up to Miley coming out of a trailer, wearing some really short shorts. They just barely make it past her butt. She begins singing and dancing and in a short amount of time we see her walking stage right. A ice cream cart rolls out onto the stage and has a pole sticking out of it. Miley proceeds to step on top of the ice cream truck, grab the pole, and make one dipping motion on the pole, much like you might see a stripper do. Then she follows it up by holding onto the pole with her left hand, while singing out to the crowd. The ice cream cart moves stage left with Miley holding onto the pole the entire time and then Miley eventually gets off of the ice cream truck. The rest of the song doesn’t matter.

Now, I can understand the controversy. Little kids are watching the program BUT she only made one motion, and it was for a very brief amount of time. The rest of the time she was holding onto the pole. The pole is obviously there for her to hold onto as the cart moves stage left. If not for the pole being there she would have fallen off. And yes, I agree the shorts may have been a bit small for the Teen Choice Awards, but what people don’t realize is that there are tons of people monitoring the show. If the producer or whomever may have been in charge of stage acts thought it wasn’t appropriate I’m most positive they would have confronted her. Furthermore, we do not know if Miley picked out her own wardrobe or not. She may have had someone else put her outfit together.

The comments I see mostly all have something that reads “Miley is such a skank.” or “Miley is going to be the next Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan! She’s such a stupid whore! I hate Miley!” and many more comments. Though, those are severely edited versions. I think it’s unjust hatred. People seem to think the pole was only there for Miley to “whore” herself on, when in fact, anyone with half a brain can figure out it was there for support. It’s not like she was grinding up and down it the entire time she was on the cart.

I would like to link you to the video so you may see for yourself but I cannot find a decent video yet, so once I do, I’ll post it. For now, here’s the picture everyone is using to spin their lies about Miley’s performance.

Takumi-Kun: Soshite Harukaze ni Sasayaite

Recently a friend of mine has gotten me to watch some live-action Yaoi movies. Now, I am a straight male, but I’m not afraid to watch a movie that revolves around gay guys, or even see two guys kiss and such. I’m going to use the next couple of blogs to write about them.
I’m going by what they’re uploaded as on Youtube. First one up:

(click the name to go to the video)
Takumi-Kun: Soshite Harukaze ni Sasayaite
Subtitles: Yes

Takumi-Kun: Soshite Harukaze ni Sasayaite is the first Yaoi movie she got me to watch. One of the main characters is Takumi Hayama (bet you didn’t see that one coming), a shy boy who suffers from Anthropophobia; in short, he has a fear of people, especially when they try to touch him; he ends up pushing them away, even with the slightest of touches. Movie starts with Takumi entering a cafeteria to eat lunch. He’s approached by a boy, Daisuke Nozaki, who swiftly gets to the point and asks him out on a date. Takumi declines and Daisuke gracefully admits defeat, but says he won’t give up yet.

An onlooking classmate, Izumi Takabayashi now approaches Takumi with his “fanclub”. He apparently doesn’t like Takumi’s attitude, gets angry and one of his fanclub members throws food at Takumi. Enter Saki Giichi (shortened to Gii), the idol of the class because of his grades and good looks. He jumps in and uses his body to cover Takumi, taking the blow and mess from the food.

The next day Takumi is informed by his old roommate that he has a new roommate, who just happens to be Gii. They have a very brief encounter when moving into their dorm, and then Takumi goes for a walk, where he’s knocked out. He awakens inside of the music room, with Gii. This is where we find out Gii likes Takumi, and thus starts the main purpose of the movie. It may seem like I’ve spoiled a lot but I haven’t. This but merely the first 12 minutes of the movie or so and I left out some details shared. There is plenty more to see and learn.

Since this is the first one she got me to watch I wasn’t sure what to think going into it, but I can honestly say I enjoyed it. It’s a pretty cute love story, and the actions and things Gii does for Takumi to win him over is probably stuff most girls could only hope their guy would do for them. While the movie is cute, when it comes to Takumi’s past it does have a darker more serious tone. Watching Takumi’s past unfold is interesting, but if you’re like me, you’ll guess most of it by the end.

If the ending of the movie doesn’t having you in awe by how cute it is, then you’re most likely a homophobe and all I have to say to you is; Get over it. Just be thankful there wasn’t any nudity or buttsex scenes. Just some kissing.

I’ll be talking about the other three I’ve watched so far later in the week. If you do by chance end up watching the movie, make sure to let me know what you think of it. I’d love to hear other peoples thoughts.
